Marvel launches New Captain America NFT Collection

Brief:

  • Marvel has decided to expand its NFT universe.
  • The firm aims to turn August into a “Marvel Month” on the VeVe app. Consequently, it hinted that more superheroes could be coming in the following weeks.

Marvel launched the new “Marvel Mighty” NFT Collection from the Captain America series. The first Marvel Captain America NFT collectibles will include Steve Roger, John F. Walker, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, and their deadly nemesis – the Red Skull.

Marvel is partnering with VeVe to launch the collection. The firm aims to turn August into a “Marvel Month” on the VeVe app.  It hinted that more superheroes could be coming in the following weeks.

VeVe App later in August, will also release other Marvel digital products such as digital statues, digital comic books, and other digital collectibles. It also includes MARVEL COMICS #1 digital collectible of the first Marvel comic book released in 1939.

Most of the included characters in the collections are under the “Captain America” story arc or comic series from Marvel. And they all have a deep connection to the Star-Spangled hero.

The sale began on Saturday, August 14 at 8:00 AM PST. The NFT is available for purchase via the VeVe app or website; Anyone from around the globe can purchase the NFT.

The Collection Includes:

  • Steve Rogers (COMMON): 28,888 Editions; Price: $13.00
  • Sam Wilson (COMMON): 28,888 Editions; Price: $13.00
  • John F. Walker (UNCOMMON): 18,888 Edition; Price: $13.00
  • Bucky Barnes (RARE): 11,888 Editions; Price: $13.00
  • Red Skull (ULTRA-RARE): 4,888 Editions; Price: $13.00

Earlier this month Marvel released its first Spider-Man NFT collection on the VeVe app. The app sold 60,500 of these NFTs within the first 24 hours of its launch. This is the second Marvel collection that VeVe would release.

These NFTs would be sold in the “blind box” format, and they would have a different level or rarity for buyers to collect.

This is where its value would change and have something to trade with other NFT owners.
