“When Tom (Brady) and everybody at Autograph approached my team, I was happy, because I know this is the way things are going and that everything is going online,” Bolt said via Zoom, from Germany, where he had just landed to meet with fans and sign autographs.

Autograph has partnered with world-class athletes and entertainment icons like Tiger Woods, Tony Hawk, Naomi Osaka, Derek Jeter, Simone Biles, and Wayne Gretzky to usher in a new era of digital collecting.

Bolt’s NFT line showcase some of his most memorable performances. For example, the gold medal performance in the 2008 Summer Olympics 100m sprint in Beijing, China.

Autograph is releasing the line as part of its “Preseason Access Collection” and is marketing it to give Bolt’s fan base a first look at the merchandise.

NFT sale started on October 5 and will last till the 7th of October. Prices range from US$12 to US$100, but if you’re looking to own pieces signed by Bolt, prepare to delve deeper into your wallet, as those begin at US $250.

With non-fungible tokens, people can sell digital items such as music, artwork, and, in Bolt’s case, memorabilia. By bidding on the items and using blockchain technology, buyers secure ownership. Since NFTs have no tangible form, buyers receive digital tokens as certificates of ownership.
