Amazon Web Services (AWS) Unit is looking for a Principal Digital Assets Specialist to join its global financial services team in New York who will help drive adoption across the global digital asset community.

As per the new job posting by AWS, they are hiring a principal digital asset specialist who will directly collaborate with Amazon’s strategic customers, which include leading global financial institutions and innovative fintechs.

AWS is planning to hire someone with seven or more years of experience in fintech business development. The candidate must have “exposure to distributed ledger or blockchain technologies,” according to the job post.

As a key member of the Global Financial Services Specialist team, the candidate will be responsible for driving the overall AWS market and go-to-market strategy for Digital Assets in the Financial Services vertical.

The new hire would advise senior executives at major global financial institutions to “transform the way they transact digital assets,” such as cryptocurrencies, central bank digital currencies, stablecoins, security-backed tokens, asset-backed tokens, and NFTs.

The candidate should be able to comprehend the whole cryptocurrency and digital asset ecosystem in financial services as per the job post.

In July, AWS posted a crypto-related job opening. Their payments acceptance and experience team was looking to hire a new Blockchain product lead to develop Amazon’s Digital Currency and Blockchain strategy and product roadmap.
