Ozzy Osbourne Debuts into NFT World with His ‘Cryptobatz’ Collection

In Brief:

  • The Prince of Darkness has finally entered the Crypto World.
  • Rocker Ozzy Osbourne is getting into the NFT market with his iconic collection of “Cryptobatz”.
  • The former Black Sabbath singer’s 9,666 NFTs are slated to go on sale in January.

The exemplary heavy metal music star Ozzy Osbourne announced the launching of his first-ever collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) called “CryptoBatz.” This incoming collection is characterised by its unique ability to “bite” another NFT and mutate into “MutantBatz.”

“Every cryptobat trait has been creatively directed by Ozzy Osbourne.Unlike some of Ozzy’s previous bat friends, these ones live safely in the metaverse and are not edible… yet,” said the announcement on the Cryptobatz website.

Osbourne emphasized that “CryptoBatz is a f**ing mental project, 9,666 unique bats designed by yours truly,” for NFT collectors and fans. The design pays tribute to one of the most iconic on-stage moments and is a chance to acquire a rare piece of art history.

This pioneering trademark will subsequently allow owners to combine the attributes of two separate projects – making ‘MutantBatz’ a rare offering for NFT collectors. So far, CryptoBatz has announced they will be able to “beat the bush” of Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, Cryptotoadz along with a fourth mysterious name.

Encouraged by the events of the 1982 concert in Des Moines, Iowa; Osbourne decided to plunge into this rapidly nourishing multibillion dollar market with non-fungible tokens. Osbourne and NFT Studio Sutter Systems created this new collection which is available for purchase from the mid of January.

The rock and roll singer also told his Twitter fans to join the Cryptobatz NFT Discord server to tag along on the exclusive 2,500  pre-sale whitelist passes. All the enthusiastic applicants as a reward will be entitled for minting up to three CryptoBatz per digital wallet, while the general public can only start minting from February.

Furthermore, the Osbourne NFT collection includes a third set, AncientBatz, in addition to CryptoBatz and MutantBatz. These are crypto tokens that have been concealed all over the world in a digital treasure hunt. Fans who obtain these AncientBatz NFTs will be able to bite and breed up to 100 NFTs and 100 MutantBatz.

NFTs are the hottest market in the digital arena and have become the talk of the town. Not just common people, but even celebrities are supporting NFT projects and bringing them in front of the mainstream media. Songs, Albums, Photographs, Artwork and even real estate have all been tokenized and sold as NFTs.
