The American rapper who is also one of the best selling music artists of all time, Eminem is the latest celebrity to buy the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT.

The 15 times Grammy award winner bought the BAYC’s NFT #9055 at 123.45 Ether (worth $453,776.28). Eminem shared the image of the NFT on Twitter by using it as his bio picture.

The NFT was sold by a member of BAYC who goes under the name @Gee__Gazza on Twitter. The user confirmed the news by thanking Eminem for the purchase.

Eminem also owns the NFTs Adult Fantasy Sub-Dude (130/151), SABC #2615, Shaq Gives Back #4077. In fact, Eminem’s address – the Shady_Holdings holds around 17 NFTs as suggested by the records on OpenSea.

Moreover, as per the data from dappradar.com metrics, he owns 166 non-fungible token (NFT) assets from a total of 32 collections.

The NFT space has increasingly unfurled itself in all areas varying from Entertainment to real estate. Although Eminem has quite a lot of involvement in this world of NFTs, he is certainly not the only one as this list includes a lot of other celebrities from other backgrounds too.

In December, the floor price of both BAYC and CryptoPunk witnessed quite a fluctuating drama when BAYC flipped CryptoPunk in terms of floor price only to see it backflip. However, at the time of writing, the floor price of BAYC is 70.69 ETH and  that of CryptoPunk is 67.99 ETH.
