Web3 security is a community effort, so we’re partnering w/ more than 15 companies & projects to share vulnerabilities and fixes before they reach other platforms. https://t.co/tH4yUNrLg0

Opensea has posted a blog about the NFT security group, in which the company revealed that companies will work closely with each other to “share and learn about vulnerability reports that have not yet been publicly announced”.

The members of this group will be able to submit their platform’s vulnerability and the group will work collectively and confidentially to fix issues. Also, the members of the group can invite other members to achieve the goal of mainstream adoption.

The formation consists of many leading cryptos and NFT based startups and firms including Coinbase, Metamask, Rarible, Nifty Gateway, Superrare, and others.

The group will focus on the security pyramid, which consists of elements like Smart contracts, metadata, wallet, blockchain consensus, and interoperability. Moreover, Individuals can also participate and help members through the Public bug bounty program to identify bugs.

Also, third-party audit contests will help NFT projects to save the community from accidental bugs and exploits in smart contracts.

Currently, NFTs marketplaces are in high demand. This month, Opensea’s monthly Ethereum volume reached $3.5 billion. Many groups of hackers are always in search of systems with errors and bugs. To create an errorless NFT ecosystem, the NFT security group will play a crucial role.
