The wait is finally over!! The Bored Ape Yacht Club creator Yuga Labs have at last announced the launch date of the ‘Otherside’ metaverse project.
The team officially confirmed via Twitter that their long-awaited Otherside project will be launched at the end of the month, on April 30 at 12 pm ET. The BAYC ecosystem’s native token ApeCoin will power the metaverse, which was also launched last month.
Last month Yuga Labs unveiled a fascinating teaser hinting at the Otherside project which intrigued the NFT sphere. A major part of the community already assumed it to be a metaverse initiative.
There isn’t much information regarding the Otherside drop yet, but the hype is real as its official Discord channel has almost 140k members at the time of writing.
Furthermore, there is currently no official website for the Otherside project, and more info is set to be released later this week.
Despite the sluggish and rough conditions on the broader crypto market, there have been leaks concerning Otherside all week, which may be the explanation for $APE’s massive price hike.
According to rumors, the BAYC creators plan to sell 200k plots of virtual land on the Otherside, each with its own set of unique features like natural resources, relics, and rare characters.
