The legendary Scotch Whiskey brand Johnnie Walker and its parent firm DIAGEO announces a partnership with Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends NFT collection.
The Johnnie Walker gifts are only available to Gift Goat VeeFriends NFT holders. Gift Goat is one of the original VeeFriends collection’s 268 characters, and there are a total of 555 Gift Goat tokens.
Gift Goat is one of numerous VeeFriends sub-collections, each with its own set of features. Gift Goat owners are eligible to receive at least six physical items every year for a period of three years.
Those who are fortunate enough to own one of these Goat Gift NFTs will undoubtedly receive a special edition bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue.
Each bottle bears the VeeFriends logo as well as the Gift Goat figure, as well as a number out of 555.
All VeeCon attendees will also get a chance to win the special edition Johnnie Walker Blue. VeeCon is the first-ever session of Gary Vee’s NFT and Web3 superconference.
It will be held in Minneapolis, in the U.S. Bank Stadium from May 19 to May 22. At the VeeCon superconference, Johnnie Walker will also host an activation.
Gary Vee stated “Anybody that knows me knows that I grew up in the liquor industry. So if somebody told 22-year-old Gary that his NFT/IP project would be collaborating with the iconic Johnnie Walker Blue Bottle, he would’ve fallen off his chair.”
He further added that “for the individuals that hold the gift goat NFT and for Johnnie Walker, the brand, to be embarking strategically and thoughtfully into the Web3 space.”
This partnership is one of many Diageo’s efforts as part of a bigger Web3 initiative. Diageo is intending to use Web3 for consumers throughout the world to enjoy both rare spirits and real-life experiences.
Sophie Kelly, Senior Vice President of Whiskies at Diageo North America, stated “Web3 offers DIAGEO an opportunity to meet new communities and customers where they are in culture.”
Well VeeFriends NFT collection was a hit upon its debut catapulting Gary Vee’s NFT agency VaynerNFT into a new height. Just last month Gary Vee launched VeeFriends Series 2 NFT collection comprising 55,555 NFTs and had a mint price of 0.335 ETH.
