La Liga Announces TVM as its Official Partner in the Metaverse

Spanish football league, La Liga has announced TVM as its official partner in the metaverse. Both parties have signed an agreement for the duration of two and a half years, which can be further extended.

TVM will develop a metaverse of sport called Triverse, which will be an exclusive ecosystem of augmented reality. Triverse will increase fan interaction and engagement for the sport as well as generate relevant content.

“Together with LaLiga, TVM will create a world where nothing is impossible and anything and everything is possible,” said the vice-president of TVM, Yoon Chul Kim.

Additionally, La Liga will be allowed to integrate its virtual partners within the Triverse. Triverse will feature original sport clubs content, such as press conferences and club announcements along with match highlights and player interviews.

Users will earn rewards and experience points when they consume this official content. These rewards and points can further be exchanged for more valuable items and goods.

Josh Kim, the managing director of TVM said, “The reward system will revolve around NFTs, as blockchain technology and NFTs go hand in hand. So, naturally, we will have our own trading platform for NFTs.”

“Users will join as fans of a particular sports property, and will have to devote time and energy to building their fan city. At some point, they will be able to see and compare how their fan city has performed compared to other club cities.”

Josh Kim’s statement indicates an upcoming NFT trading platform as well as NFTs of La Liga’s teams and players.

Various sports teams and clubs, particularly football clubs, have been experimenting with emerging technologies and capturing their fans’ attention. Furthermore, the sports teams, organisations, and players have all benefited from the NFT collaborations, which has only resulted in increased earnings.

It has also led to greater fan engagement and involvement, paving the way for further collaborations in the future.
