Ava Labs CEO & Kyle Roche Responds to Crypto Leaks Allegations

The CEO of Ava Labs, Emin Gün Sirer, and Kyle Roche of the law firm Roche Freedman responded with a detailed statement on the Crypto Leaks scandal. While Roche stated that they were “illegally obtained, highly edited video clips,” Gün stated ‌those allegations were “categorically false”.

Cryptoleaks’ allegations against Emin Gün Sirer and his company have been refuted.

According to the article, both companies have an inside agreement to help each other, with Ava Labs parting with some of its tokens as payment. Gün responded by saying, “no, Roche does not have anywhere near 1% of tokens. That is also a blatant lie from the article.”

Emin Gün Sirer’s Ava Labs was accused of paying off Roche Freedman to stage lawsuits against competitors and distract US regulators, but he quashed the claims as “conspiracy theory nonsense”.

In the context of this, he claimed in his detailed statement that Ava Labs does not “receive materials or information from him [Roche], and we do not entrust our legal affairs to him,” and that all lawsuits have been filed independently.

He clarified that Kyle Roche is not a member of their executive team and has no say in their business or legal decisions regarding the Avalanche protocol.

“Roche is not responsible for regulatory matters for Ava Labs. We independently have good relationships with the regulatory community, policymakers, and with law enforcement. We hold ourselves to high standards and believe they recognize that.”

Kyle Roche issued his own statement on the matter, claiming that the videos in the Crypto Leaks article were recorded without his permission.

Roche stated that those were recorded during private meetings with Christen Ager-Hanssen, “whom I now know works for Dominic Williams, the creator of ICP Token and the defendant in a high-profile securities fraud litigation my firm brought against him.”

Kyle Roche also claimed that the video’s statements were obtained through deception, “including a deliberate scheme to intoxicate”, by asking leading questions.

He was allegedly meeting Ager-Hanssen for venture capital investment in a technology startup, but “his real motives are now clear: to deceive and entrap me”, Roche said.

Roche vehemently denied “any allegations of impropriety”, claiming that the class action lawsuits were never filed on behalf of Ava Labs.

“What the posting fails to note is that our firm’s plaintiff-side practice has remained a source of disagreement in our relationship with Ava Labs, and they have criticized our pursuit of many such cases.”

Christen Ager-Hanssen has now tweeted that “Avalabs is definitely involved in Kyle Roche/Avalabs litigation initiative”, attaching an email conversation from Sam Wang, Avalabs’ Ex-Director of Business Development.
