The blockchain-based DeFi application platform, Near Protocol is currently hosting the NEARCON. The NEARCON is being hosted in Lisbon from September 12 to 14.
The event saw various important announcements being made. Pagoda launched a flagship product for dApp developers on NEAR. Two regional hubs, one in India and one in Vietnam were launched. An NFT marketplace by Fayyr is also launched on NEAR.
NEAR announced to fund Coinbase’s program via NEAR staking rewards to educate users about NEAR and the utility of its native token. It also unveiled the winners of the inaugural women in Web3 Changemakers.
Tether has been added to the NEAR ecosystem. “We’re excited to launch USD₮ on NEAR, offering its community access to the first, most stable, and trusted stablecoin in the digital token space,” said Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Tether Operations Limited. With today being the last of the event, more announcements can be expected.
NEAR announced to support Near-based NFT marketplace, Few and Far. It has partnered with Caerus to create a $100 million venture capital fund to support the development of next-generation platforms, marketplaces, and apps.
