French luxury fashion house Yves Saint Laurent filed NFT and Metaverse-related trademark applications for its name and logo at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on 12th January 2023.
According to the filings, Yves Saint Laurent is intending to launch NFTs featuring perfumery, toiletries, cosmetics, make-up, skin care preparations, and much more for use in the metaverse.
The filings also imply that Yves Saint Laurent intends to make direct sales through retail stores established in the metaverse that sell these virtual goods. The files contain artwork, text, audio, and video for these products.
