World-famous art gallery Venus Over Manhattan (V/M) presents the Beyond Digital NFT exhibition featuring artworks from the cross-disciplinary RF.C Art collection of famous digital art collectors Pablo Rodríguez-Fraile and Desiree Casoni.
The Beyond Digital NFT exhibition opened on February 10 and will continue until March 14, 2023. Beyond Digital is the first time a single digital art collection has been shown in a venue for contemporary art.
“Beyond Digital brings together pioneering digital artists whose work explores the possibilities of bridging the digital and the physical realms,” V/M noted.
The event features artworks from famous artists Refik Anadol, Daniel Arsham, Beeple, Dmitri Cherniak, Kjetil Golid, Pak, Trevor Jones, Quayola, Andrés Reisinger, Helena Sarin, Slime Sunday, Hideki Tsukamoto, Vini Naso, XCOPY.
The pieces exhibited in Beyond Digital include framed prints, physical objects, and static and dynamic NFTs shown on screens.
Venus Over Manhattan challenges viewers to view digital art less as a technological advancement and more as a dynamic expression medium that creates new avenues for navigating the physical world.
The art gallery notes, “Beyond Digital explores the resonances and dissonances apparent within the hybridization of art and technology, embracing the new forms that emerge through such slippages.”
Meanwhile, digital artist Beeple shares the same sentiment on bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds. Beeple announced the grand opening of BEEPLE STUDIOS on March 11, 2023, featuring works from XCOPY, Refik Anadol, DeeKay Motion, Blake Kathryn, Pak, etc.
