Indian State Haryana Adopts Blockchain for Digital Certificates

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), based in Madhya Pradesh, has joined forces with the School Education Board of Haryana to revolutionize the certificate to 5 lakh students.

By harnessing their self-developed blockchain technology, CRISP will provide the Haryana School Education Board with digital certificate printing and online verification services.

The agreement between CRISP and the School Education Board of Haryana was officially sealed on June 22 in the presence of Dr. VP Yadav, Chairman of BSEH, and Amol Vaidya, Director of CRISP.

This unprecedented initiative marks the first time such advanced technology has been employed in any secondary education board. The use of blockchain-based authentication aims to safeguard against fraudulent activities, specifically identity theft while ensuring accurate certification for students.

Shrikant Patil, the Managing Director of CRISP, expressed his enthusiasm for this pioneering endeavor, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of students.

Patil further highlighted CRISP’s track record of achievements in the field of information technology and e-governance. With their coveted Capability Maturity Integration Level 5 certification, CRISP stands as a beacon of excellence in the IT sector.

Amol Vaidya, the Director of CRISP, shed light on the primary objective of the blockchain-based authentication system.

Its implementation serves to provide authentic records and eliminate any doubts surrounding the credibility of certificates issued by the BSE Haryana. By verifying individual candidate data through a decentralized mechanism, this innovative solution instills trust and transparency.
