Co-Founder of Crypto Unicorn 5ire Exits Amid Disagreement

In an unexpected twist, Vilma Mattila, one of the co-founders of 5ire, a blockchain platform based in Dubai, has made the decision to depart from the company following a disagreement with her fellow co-founders, as per the report of Tech in Asia.

As per Vilma Mattila’s statement, she decided to resign because of dissatisfaction with her co-founders’ actions. Allegedly, they have been making important decisions about management and finances without consulting her or gaining her agreement. However, it is still unclear when exactly she will be leaving the company.

Vilma Mattila, known for her success as an angel investor, played a vital part in co-founding the cryptocurrency company together with CEO Pratik Gauri and CTO Prateek Dwivedi. It’s worth mentioning that 5ire gained considerable attention last year when it secured substantial funding during its series A round, reaching a valuation of $1.5 billion and obtaining the esteemed status of a blockchain unicorn.

The company had been focused on creating 5irechain, a blockchain that aligns with the principles of the “Fifth Industrial Revolution,” which served as its inspiration. This groundbreaking blockchain operates on the principle of “proof-of-benefit,” emphasizing the positive outcomes it brings.
