As part of this collaboration, Google Cloud will serve as a validator on the Celo network, ensuring the security and legitimacy of new transactions.
This collaboration between Google Cloud and Celo is not new, as they have previously worked together, offering workshops and services to developers and founders building on the Celo network.
Recently, CLabs, the team behind the Celo network, announced a strategic decision to migrate the Celo blockchain to Ethereum Layer 2, This move is intended to enhance usability and security, providing users with easier access to utilize assets on both networks.
To facilitate this transition, Celo will leverage Google Cloud’s Blockchain Node Engine, a service designed to manage the network’s nodes. By using this engine, transactions can be relayed faster, promoting better alignment between Celo and Ethereum.
