The developer of the cross-chain messaging protocol, LayerZero Labs, announced a new partnership with Google Cloud. The collaboration aims to enhance its cross-chain environment’s security through a high-performance and dependable cloud infrastructure and to accelerate the future of Web3 interoperability.
To secure messages on the LayerZero network, the Google Cloud will operate as LayerZero’s default oracle, as per the agreement. Developers creating decentralized applications (dApps) on top of LayerZero can now use the Google Cloud Oracle to verify transactions.
LayerZero is an interoperability protocol which allows seamless communication, such as transferring data, assets, and information between blockchains, without harming security. To secure a dApp’s cross-chain functionality, LayerZero provides developers with a selection of verifiers known as oracles, distinct networks that approve or reject cross-chain messages based on their validation logic.
LayerZero has always shown continuous growth, and now it processes around 10 million messages in a month. The Google Cloud oracle will verify messages across the fifteen different chains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB, and Avalanche.
