Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong Dismissed From The FTX Lawsuit

In the legal battle over the FTX collapse, crypto influencer Ben “BitBoy” Armstrong has now been dismissed by the plaintiffs and is no longer part of the lawsuit.

According to the court filing, Armstrong had not “served an answer or motion for summary judgment.” That means that he didn’t reply to any accusations made in the lawsuit or ask the court to decide the case based on the evidence presented.

“The Co-Lead Counsel is filing a Notice of Voluntary Dismissal of claims against FTX Defendant Ben Armstrong and will file a Notice of his settlement in the related Binance matter,” a court filing stated.

In simpler terms, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, along with YouTube influencers Kevin Paffrath and Tom Nash, have decided to resolve their legal dispute, but the exact terms of their agreements are not publicly known yet. A judge still needs to approve these settlements officially.

The lawyers handling the case are also in private talks with more people associated with FTX, and more settlements will likely be made in the future, as mentioned in the legal document.

Recently, there was a document that revealed significant payments made by FTX to famous individuals like Shaquille O’Neal, Naomi Osaka, and David Ortiz, as well as sports organizations like MLB, the NBA’s Miami Heat, and the Golden State Warriors. They also made payments to Coachella, Gamestop, and Kevin O’Leary.

The three famous individuals have chosen to resolve their issues just as the legal case against Bankman-Fried is progressing.

Bankman-Fried is scheduled to appear in court on October 3rd to face charges of fraud that he is accused of committing while managing the exchange.
