Manchester City and Power of Women launched the sixth annual “Same City, Same Passion” NFT collection for the upcoming International Women’s Day to celebrate the start of the Women’s Super League Season 2023-24.
This collaboration also draws inspiration from Manchester City’s ‘Same City, Same Passion’ campaign, which aims to promote women’s football by showcasing the same abilities, thrills, and passion.
The club’s first dynamic digital artwork, titled “Same City, Same Passion”, with Power of Women’s visually arresting and provocative artwork, will alternate between the iconic designs “Same City” during the week and “Same Passion” on weekends when WSL games are played for the duration of the 2023–24 season.
This launch follows the “I am EMPOWERED” collection launch from Power of Women and Manchester City, which debuted on International Women’s Day in March 2023.
Power of Women and Manchester City’s official charity, City in the Community, will each receive a portion of the sales from the limited-time open edition of “Same City, Same Passion.”
Collectors who own all five digital works from the “I am EMPOWERED” collection by Power of Women x Man City will receive a free airdrop of “Same City, Same Passion.” These digital artworks will be minted with 0.03 ETH + gas, which started on October 1 and will end on October 4.
At the time of writing, 96 NFTs have been minted, and as per the site, there will be a limit of up to 50 NFTs per wallet. The total supply will be established once minting concludes on October 4, as this is a time-limited open edition.
