According to the announcement blogpost, MoonPay will also embed Mastercard’s products and solutions into its Web3 stack, such as Mastercard Send and Click to Pay, all in order to drive more trust, compliance, and efficiency in the payment industry.

MoonPay’s creative services and development arm, Otherlife, will play a key role in this partnership.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Mastercard, a prominent supporter of Web3 and the digital economy, to redefine customer loyalty and engagement,” said MoonPay’s co-founder and CEO, Ivan Soto-Wright, stating that it will create new opportunities for establishing unique connections and meaningful moments using blockchain technology.

MoonPay provides an infrastructure to buy or sell cryptocurrency with on and off-ramping facilities. It has incorporated major payment options, including debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and other mobile payment applications.
