Merit Circle DAO and Immutable, two blockchain organizations focusing on gaming, have joined forces to boost the development of Web3 video games.
As part of this collaboration, Beam, a subnet from Merit Circle DAO, will now be launched on Immutable zkEVM, a scaling solution powered by Polygon. This is a shift from its previous exclusivity with Avalanche, as stated by the organizations.
Merit Circle CGO and co-founder Marco van den Heuvel said, “At the Merit Circle DAO, we want Beam, our gaming ecosystem, to be wherever games, players and developers are. This collaboration with Immutable and Polygon Labs represents a huge leap towards that vision,” in the statement.
He sees the collaboration with Immutable and Polygon Labs as a significant step towards realizing this vision. The user-friendly applications, combined with Immutable’s zkEVM on Polygon, are expected to play a crucial role in the gaming landscape soon.
As part of their partnership, Merit Circle DAO has committed to investing in games or studios that build on Immutable. Both organizations aim to explore additional synergies and contribute collectively to the gaming industry.
