The renowned cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes has joined the Ritual AI platform as an advisor, as reported by The Block.
The Ritual Advisors team, consisting of accomplished individuals such as Illia Polosukhin, Sreeram Kannan, Tarun Chitra, Divya Gupta, and Sid Reddy, brings together expertise from institutions and companies like Google Research, EigenLayer, Sequoia, and DeepMind.
As the Chief Investment Officer of his family office, Maelstrom, Hayes will leverage his crypto and financial markets expertise to advance Ritual’s vision of financializing AI models and data.
Ritual said, “Arthur was also one of the first crypto leaders to understand the opportunities at the intersection of AI and Crypto and will utilize his perspective from both traditional and crypto markets to help Ritual scale.”
Hayes expressed excitement about Ritual’s potential to provide censorship-resistant and collaboration-empowering technology for the evolving AI economy.
Hayes said, “I strongly believe that AI is changing the world. Generative AI, in particular, drives new use cases and worker productivity, and will have massive rippling effects on the economy.”
Ritual, which raised $25 million in funding, focuses on incentivized networks for hosting and refining AI models. Its flagship product, Infernet, facilitates smart contracts to interact with AI for various on-chain applications, promoting transparency and accessibility.
