Hodlonaut Photo Causes Stir in COPA vs. Craig Wright

On the fourth day of the London High Court trial of Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) v. Craig Wright, a livestream-related issue came up. A few hundred spectators snapped a picture of the anonymous Bitcoin influencer, Hodlonaut.

As for myself, I am only able to cover the first two weeks, or until my hands give out.

Along with numerous other journalists, Hodlonaut, who was sued by Craig Wright in a different litigation, was present at the trial and live-blogged on X.

During the day’s opening remarks, the presiding judge referred to the prohibited photo, stating that it was against the terms of service for viewing the livestream and mentioning that the court could completely stop the livestream. Whoever snapped the photo is also being looked at by the court.

Almost unfazed by the image, Hodlonaut continued his live blogging and focused on the investigation. He hinted that Wright was counting on him to back down and accept responsibility for his claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

It’s so satisfying seeing Craig’s web of lies from the Norwegian trial against me catch up with him here in UK.

They were so confident I would fold from the threats and harassment but ended up with a trial he lost that now comes back to haunt him in this trial.

Wright maintained his denial of COPA’s proof of his purported lies and forgeries throughout his hearing, restating a number of his earlier court declarations.
