Craig Wright Cross-Examination Ends After Questioning in COPA Trial

The cross-examination of Craig Wright came to a close on Wednesday after the self-proclaimed Bitcoin inventor spent over a week on the stand answering intense lines of questioning to defend his assertions that he created Bitcoin in 2008 under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

THE QUESTIONING OF SATOSHI WRAPS UP

– Craig Wright concluded his testimony in a trial regarding his claim to be Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator with a defiant stance, emphasizing his pursuit of "justice."

Over several days of testimony, Wright was grilled by opposing counsel over his purported connections to Bitcoin. Lawyers for both COPA and a group of BTC developers repeatedly accused Wright of lying about his role as Satoshi Nakamoto.

On trial, confronting his claim of having been the original developer of Bitcoin, Craig Wright vented out his anger at the lack of “experts” to back up their verdicts. Members of the crypto-currency community took a strong stand in response to Wright’s statements. Judge Mellor intervened over Wright’s cries and warned that he would face the sentence if he did not stop his rumpus.

With Wright’s testimony finished, his witnesses, including Ignatius Pang, Robert Jenkins, and Shoaib Yousef, will take the stand starting Thursday. They are expected to corroborate Wright’s claims that he discussed digital currency concepts before Bitcoin’s 2009 launch. However, Wright still faces an uphill battle in convincing the court he is Satoshi amidst accusations that his story is made up.
