Based on previous reports, Bridges met Wright in 2006 when he did security audit work. Lynam is Wright’s cousin. Matthews is the CEO of nChain and was physically present in court. Bridges and Lynam appeared remotely.

Matthews is expected to continue his cross-examination tomorrow morning. After that, the cross-examination of COPA witnesses would begin. However, neither Wright nor Matthews had arrived at the courtroom initially.

Later, only Bridges’ cross-examination proceeded following a video link swearing-in. Bridges said he had not watched the trial anywhere. He worked at Qudos Bank for 19 years until December 2022. He acknowledged meeting Wright in 2006 for security audits. The witness cross-examinations were still ongoing when BitMEX reported.

The case continued when COPA sued Wright for claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s inventor. Crypto community members expect the case to go on for a few more weeks before the court rules on the authenticity of Wright’s claims.
