According to a report, the Sui blockchain won the Eurasia Award for Best Blockchain Solution at the 2024 AIBC Eurasia conference held in Dubai on February 25th. The award recognizes Sui’s rapid growth and impact in the blockchain industry over the past year.
Sui has seen its total value locked in DeFi protocols grow to over $600 million. The layer 1 blockchain also now ranks in the top 10 DeFi ecosystems. Additionally, analysis shows that of the nearly $500 million that exited Ethereum through the cross-chain Wormhole protocol recently, 64% moved to Sui.
The Sui Foundation’s Managing Director, Greg Siourounis, commented that the award motivates builders on Sui to keep utilizing the network’s advantages. He hopes it also convinces more projects to join the expanding Sui ecosystem.
The AIBC Eurasia Awards honored exceptional innovations in blockchain, gaming, media, and the metaverse. The expert panel granting Sui the top blockchain prize included industry leaders Pavel Matveev of Wirex and seed investor Giacomo Arcaro. Sui’s partnerships and rapid growth throughout 2023 positioned it as a standout in blockchain. This prestigious award now cements its status as an industry leader.
