Ore Project Halts Mining Amid Solana Network Congestion

Solana’s blockchain is facing network congestion, resulting in slower transactions and increased drop rates, which harms the user experience. In response, Anza, the developer of one of Solana’s Agave validator clients, has released proposed congestion fixes in version 1.18.11 on a devnet.

.@Solana testnet validators, the v1.18.11 release is now deployed to devnet, recommended for use on testnet. Please upgrade ASAP to help us start analyzing the effects of the proposed congestion fixes. https://t.co/8tcmtZ5tuQ

— Anza (@anza_xyz) April 12, 2024

The Anza team has urged Solana testnet validators to adopt the new version promptly. This will enable them to evaluate the release and make necessary adjustments before implementing it on the mainnet.

The recent congestion on the Solana network has been attributed to challenges within Anza Network’s validator client implementation. The team’s approach to addressing the issue shows their commitment to maintaining the network’s efficiency.

As more people use blockchain technology, solving issues with network congestion and scalability has become critical for many projects. Solana’s validator team is actively working to find and fix problems to improve the experience for developers and users.

The successful implementation of the proposed congestion fixes could restore optimal performance levels on the Solana network, strengthening Solana’s role as a top platform for decentralized apps and services. The community will closely monitor the testnet trials and the following rollout on the mainnet.
