Injective's inEVM Joins Forces with Arbitrum Orbit

The leading Layer 2 (L2) scaling solution on Ethereum, Arbitrum, has partnered with Injective, a blockchain platform designed for financial applications.

This integration aims to establish an innovative interoperability framework, merging Injective’s inEVM with Arbitrum Orbit. Injective’s inEVM, recognized as the first Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) capable of achieving true composability across Ethereum, Cosmos, and Solana, will be integrated into Arbitrum Orbit.

Today we’re unveiling Injective’s inEVM integration with Arbitrum Orbit to bring a fully customized interoperable rollup across Cosmos and Ethereum.

Built by @injective & @calderaxyz, inEVM enables ultra-fast transaction speeds across Injective, Cosmos, and Arbitrum.

This toolkit, developed by Offchain Labs, empowers developers to deploy advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions across multiple blockchain platforms. The deployment of inEVM will occur as an L3 solution.

Injective’s Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) rollup, inEVM, achieves true composability across Cosmos and Solana, with inSVM launching soon on the Injective mainnet.

Developers can leverage Injective’s advantages—faster transaction times, lower costs, and IBC network connectivity—in a sandbox setting, simultaneously deploying dApps across layers and protocols.

Now, inEVM will integrate Arbitrum Nitro’s tech stack, merging Arbitrum’s developer toolkit with Injective’s tailored infrastructure. This offers developers new opportunities within the Ethereum L2 ecosystem, maintaining Injective’s speed and low fees.

Eric Chen, co-founder and CEO of Injective Labs, emphasized the importance of the integration with Arbitrum, stating that it goes beyond mere blockchain network or infrastructure development. He highlighted its role in enhancing interoperability, bridging Ethereum, Cosmos, and other prominent Layer 1 networks.

The developer experience is streamlined by integrating inEVM with Arbitrum’s components into Injective’s mainnet. Now, designers may use well-known Ethereum tools like Hardhat and Foundry with Injective’s native currency, $INJ.

Injective’s distinctive burn auctions are powered by transactions on the inEVM rollup, which methodically burn a percentage of all protocol fees every week.

CEO and Co-Founder of Offchain Labs, Steven Goldfeder, said, “By facilitating seamless interoperability with Cosmos through Injective’s inEVM, we are seeing the development of the most advanced interop case study to date.”
