Farcaster, the decentralized social protocol on the blockchain has noted a massive boost in users and earnings after the roll-out of the unique Frames. The number of daily active users increased by 10 times, while the number of content creators and interactions rose sharply.
Frames, introduced on January 26th, allows developers to embed interactive mini-apps directly within Farcaster’s social posts. This integration has driven a massive influx of users, with daily active users soaring from 2,400 to 19,100, and content creators rising from 2,700 to 25,000 between January 25th and February 3rd.
Consequently, content sharing and interactions have skyrocketed, with posts increasing from 11,000 to 127,000 and reactions surging from 29,000 to 514,000 during the same period.
Farcaster experienced unprecedented growth that has led to investors’ interest in fundraising as Paradigm led a $150 fundraiser round that involved a16zcrypto, Haun Ventures, USV, Variant, and Standard Crypto. With this massive funding, Farcaster shall continue to be developed and remain relevant in the new decentralized social media platforms.
Building on the ecosystem growth, Farcaster has now established a complete and direct partnership with Arbitrum, which is one of the top layer-2 rollups in the Ethereum space.
With the help of the new “Build It” buildathon Farcaster is ready to award 500,000 retroactively to developers who create new “Frames” in celebration of the Arbitrum integration.
