Caitlyn Jenner’s Meme Coin Promotion Sparks Hack Suspicions

Olympian and media personality Caitlyn Jenner’s X account has been actively promoting a memecoin named after her, launched via the token launchpad Pump. Fun. This promotion sparked debate on social media about whether Jenner’s account was hacked. The account tweeted a link to the meme token on Sunday afternoon.

In response to the hack allegations, Jenner’s account posted a series of tweets denying any breach. The account also participated in a Twitter Space session, where Jenner’s manager purportedly responded to questions while Jenner claimed she was golfing.

Despite these assurances, many X users remain skeptical, suggesting that the videos and tweets could be deepfaked with AI. Additional videos were posted, featuring speakers identified as Jenner and her manager, Sophia Hutchinson, reaffirming that the account was not hacked and the tweets were genuine.

Rapper Rich the Kid’s Twitter account also posted content similar to Caitlyn Jenner’s earlier today. However, Rich the Kid’s account has since been deactivated. He has reportedly manipulated into promoting new tokens on the Solana-based platform Pump. Fun. Rich The Kid’s management has not officially confirmed whether it was a hack.

Gigantic-Cassocked-Rebirth (GCR), a pseudonymous cryptocurrency investor known for contrarian trades, confirmed their X account was hacked. On May 26, GCR’s account posted about ORDI and Luna2.0.

Observers such as Bitcoin developer Udi Wertheimer and Chinese crypto blogger Colin Wu have suggested that Hack incidents are part of a broader scheme targeting high-profile figures in the crypto and celebrity spheres. Wu also noted that the hacker had strategically established trading positions minutes before making the fraudulent posts.
