The European Union Endroses ChromaWay

The European Union confirmed that ChromaWay will be working with it going forward to create blockchain-based sustainable solutions. On July 12, this decision was made public following ChromaWay’s presentation at the EU Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) final review conference.

During the review, ChromaWay demonstrated progress in decentralized applications for Digital Product Passports (DPP) and intellectual property (IP) rights.

Relational Blockchain Technology

The Brussels presentation by ChromaWay underlined their development of relational blockchain technology, a creative strategy that improves the structure and complexity of on-chain data, therefore increasing efficiency.

Offering major benefits for business solutions, relational blockchain technology combines the distributed security of blockchain with the adaptability of relational databases. It also supports Chromia, a public layer-1 platform meant for distributed apps expected to open on July 16.

Co-founder of Chromia, Or Perelman, voiced excitement about the continuous European cooperation. Emphasizing the possible institutional uses, he underlined how cooperation among governments, authorities, institutions, and blockchain entrepreneurs can fully realize Web3 technology.

EU’s Strategic Vision

The positive assessment of ChromaWay’s contributions by the EU emphasizes the possibilities of relational blockchain technology to greatly influence the public as well as the private sectors. This project supports sustainability and efficiency by matching creative blockchain ideas with the larger EU strategy to include them in several industries.

The EU is still dedicated to promoting technical developments that propel environmental and financial gains throughout Europe.

In July 2024, representatives from RBN Eco and ChromaWay will undergo an interview with the European Blockchain Association to assess compatibility with upcoming EU initiatives. Additionally, the team will participate in a follow-up workshop in Brussels this September to outline the next steps for Q4 2024 and into 2025.

Future Collaborations

The EU has also partnered with other blockchain solutions, such as Iota, which the European Commission chose for its Web3 ID for blockchain sandbox in June 2024. This ongoing commitment to blockchain innovation underscores the EU’s dedication to leveraging advanced technologies for sustainable development.

By fostering such partnerships, the EU continues to lead in promoting innovative technologies that benefit both the economy and the environment.
