After 20 days of uncertainty following the cyber attack of over $230 million (₹2000 Cr) on WazirX’s multisig wallet, a police complaint has been officially registered.
The FIR, filed on August 5, 2024, at the PS Special Cell, PS Lodhi Colony, New Delhi, has been processed through Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) of Delhi Police under the BNS & IT Act. This significant step comes as several thousand crore in investor funds remain in limbo.
The affected organization has expressed full confidence in the investigative authorities and has pledged complete cooperation throughout the process. They are actively engaged in efforts to recover the stolen funds and are hopeful that those responsible will be swiftly brought to justice.
