Ubisoft and Magic Eden Launches New 'Captain Laserhawk' NFTs

Magic Eden, Ubisoft, and the Arbitrum Foundation have teamed up to launch a new collection of NFTs based on the “Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E” amine show on Netflix.

The collection has 10,000 special NFTs, of which some are related to the Ubisoft upcoming game project and are expected to mint in the next couple of weeks.

According to the press release, players who purchase these NFTs will gain access to various gameplay, including involvement in the updating of the gameplay, distribution of their creations, receiving benefits, and so on.

Also, players can vote on how the game will evolve and improve the increasing value of their NFTs over a period of time

The game itself is a top-down shooter set in a futuristic world inspired by the Netflix show Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix where players can compete with one another to earn rewards.

Each NFT, known as a Niji Warrior ID Card, will change based on how well the player performs in the game. The better the player, the more benefit they unlock. Additionally, they will also get early access to the game and join a special community where they can connect with Ubisoft’s developers.

Jack Lu, the CEO and co-founder of Magic Eden, shared his excitement about the project in the press release:

“We’re excited to bring a new level of player engagement and ownership to gaming with Captain Laserhawk: the G.A.M.E. Through the integration of Web3, we’re empowering our community to not only play but shape the future of the game.” He stated,

The partnership also marks the addition of Arbitrum as a supported blockchain on Magic Eden. Nina Rong, Head of Partnerships at Arbitrum Foundation, noted that the integration will provide NFT fans with “access to one of the industry’s premier marketplaces.”
