Hyderabad women crypto investors rank first

Women crypto investors in Hyderabad city of India rank first in the country in front of their male counterpart investors, thereby signaling a paradigm shift in how India invests in cryptocurrencies. As per a latest report “How India Invests in Crypto 2024”, released by CoinSwitch crypto exchange, women account for 45% crypto investors in Hyderabad, compared to 55% male investors in the historic city.

As per the CoinSwitch latest report, there are over 2 crore (20 million) crypto investors in India with only 11% women among them. Among Indian cities, Hyderabad city ranks 4th in the list with 5.1% of total investors in India. The first three spots went to Delhi NCR (20.1%), Bengaluru (9.1%) and Mumbai (6.5%).

Hyderabad is one of the historical cities of India and the capital of state of Telangana. It is the fourth most populous city in India with a blend of modernity and tradition with its people and culture boasting of a rich history. A melting point of different religions and cultures, Hyderabad with its pro-crypto stance truly resembles the modern day India.

As per the survey report, among Hyderabad based crypto investors, women accounted for 45% while their male counterpart amounted for remaining 55%. In Hyderabad, crypto investors have 42% in large cap, 26% in mid cap and 4% in small with 28% in bluechip.

“Thrilled to introduce the third edition of ‘India’s Crypto Portfolio 2024.’ This is our yearly report on how India is investing in crypto. This report tells the story of India’s evolving relationship with crypto – from investment trends to insights by category and city,” said Ashish Singhal, founder, CoinSwitch while releasing the report.
