Why Pi Network KYC is important before 2025 Mainnet launch

As the Pi Network prepares for its highly anticipated Open Network launch in Q1 2025, the focus is shifting towards ensuring that as many pioneers as possible are ready to migrate to the Mainnet. A key part of this effort is the importance of completing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification ahead of the launch, a process that is crucial for unlocking full participation in the Pi ecosystem.

Why KYC Matters for the Open Network

KYC is an essential step in ensuring that Pi Network’s transition to the Open Network is as smooth and inclusive as possible. By completing the KYC process, pioneers can ensure they can use their Pi tokens once the Open Network goes live. The goal is to reduce the gap between the number of KYC-approved users and those who have migrated to the Mainnet.

“We want to make sure as many pioneers as possible have the opportunity to actively participate in the ecosystem when the Open Network launches,” said a Pi Network representative. “More KYC-compliant users migrating their Pi to the Mainnet means more engagement, which leads to a more stable and robust ecosystem.”

A larger number of pioneers migrating to the Mainnet before the Open Network’s launch will help bolster the network’s engagement and overall stability. By reducing the number of unverified accounts, the network can build a solid foundation for the transition to the Open Network, enabling seamless transactions and fostering trust within the community.

For pioneers who have actively engaged in referring new users and building Security Circles, the KYC process is particularly important. As more users complete KYC and migrate to the Mainnet, those who have contributed to the network’s growth will benefit directly.

When pioneers in their referral teams and security circles successfully migrate, those who referred them will receive additional Pi as a reward, based on the bonus Pi earned through their referrals.

With the Open Network set to launch in early 2025, Pi Network is urging all pioneers to complete the KYC process as soon as possible. This will ensure they are ready to fully participate in the ecosystem, contribute to its growth, and benefit from the opportunities the Open Network will offer.
