The Trump family-backed cryptocurrency initiative World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has grabbed attention for its calculated investment in ETH. In exchange for $23 million in USDC, the project recently acquired 6,145 ETH.
As per blockchain analysis from Arkham Intelligence, WLFI purchased 6,145 ETH at an average price of $3,743 across multiple wallets, which were later staked on a decentralized financial protocol, Aave.
WLFI’s current holding of ETH is approximately 76,288, worth around $249.61 million at the current price. WLFI has accumulated these tokens at an average price of $3,272, resulting in an unrealized profit of over $33 million.
This step is accompanied by increased institutional activity in Ethereum markets. Meanwhile, Spot Ethereum ETFs attracted more than half a billion dollars of net inflows on the same day, which is also a strong indication of confidence.
World Liberty’s move comes as more big investors show interest in Ethereum. On Tuesday, spot Ethereum ETFs saw $533.9 million flow in, while spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $67.9 million, according to SoSoValue.
Arthur Hayes, BitMex Co-founder, has predicted the Bitcoin price could go as high as $250,000 and the Ethereum price could hit $10,000 by the end of 2025.
Not only this, Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest is also halfway to meet its goal of acquiring 5% of the ETH treasury, a day before ARK Invest acquired $182M in BitMine to back its Ethereum Treasury.
