According to the announcement, the F1 Team and FTX will release free-to-claim NFT ‘Ticket Stubs’ throughout the year, which are artistic renditions of a Mercedes-AMG Petronas race ticket.

Rare NFTs designed by some of the world’s most renowned artists will also be auctioned off at various times throughout the 2022 season, starting in Miami.

2500 free-to-claim NFT Ticket Stubs at most races, and 1000 limited edition NFT Ticket Stubs at up to five races throughout the 2022 season are created in partnership with multiple artists.

As part of this, unique NFTs created in partnership with multidisciplinary artist Mad Dog Jones will be unveiled during the 2022 F1 Miami race weekend.

Two special NFTs will feature the 2022 Miami cars driven by Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, with both of them running rear wing end plates during the race featuring the Mad Dog artwork.

The rear wings from the Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 in Miami will be auctioned off alongside the Mad Dog NFT.

The proceeds from the sale will benefit Ignite, a collaborative charitable effort between the Team and Mission44 with the goal of promoting more diversity and inclusion in racing.

The Mad Dog Jones collection will be auctioned off on the FTX US NFT Marketplace starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 6th, prior to the first practice in Miami, and will run throughout 13th May.

Starting from May 6th, fans can collect a limited edition run of 1000 Miami-inspired NFT Ticket Stubs created by Mad Dog at nftmercedesamgf1.com.

With four races also finished in the 2022 F1 season, the team will also issue the limited edition NFT Ticket Stubs for the season-opening races in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Italy at the Miami Grand Prix.

Those who register during the Miami Grand Prix will receive these NFT Ticket Stubs at random.

Fans will be able to create, trade, and acquire their own Ticket Stub collection, offering new avenues for fans to interact with one another and forming a new community of collectors and traders with a common passion for racing and digital art.

Avi Dabir, Vice President of Business Development, FTX stated “We hope this exclusive collection along with all the exciting events we have planned in Miami for race week will be an amazing experience for NFT collectors and long time F1 fans who want to be a part of racing history.”

The last time Mercedes dropped an NFT collection was in January, when it partnered with Art2People to create a Mercedes-Benz NFT collection based on the G-Class vehicle line. Artists from a variety of fields, including fashion, architecture, music, real estate, and graphic design created those NFTs.
