The sports drink brand, Gatorade has dropped its first NFT collection in partnership with OneOf and Vayner3.
The collection is titled ‘The Gatorade Game Changers: Athlete of the Year’ and is available exclusively on the OneOf NFT marketplace.
The NFT drop has two parts. The first is the Gatorade Athlete of the Year NFT Pack, in which NFTs will be released as bundle packs of 3.
With this collection, Gatorade aims to help immortalize the recipients of the 2021-2022 Gatorade Player of the Year (POY) award on the blockchain, which are given to the most outstanding high school student-athletes.
The NFT collection’s description reads, “Each of these athletes has overcome immense obstacles and adversity to become pillars in their community and achieved tremendous success on the field and in the classroom.”
The NFTs will be selected randomly from national POY athletes. The collection features 12 National 2021-2022 Gatorade Players of the Year.
The open-mint edition of this NFT collection will be available on OneOf from July 18 to 20.

Each pack costs $5 (0.00327 ETH) and has no gas fees. The proceeds from the primary sales and 8% of the secondary sales will be donated to the Good Sports charity.
The second part of the NFT drop is giving back to the athletes. Gatorade will airdrop NFTs to the athletes’ personal wallets. The NFTs are 10 “Athlete Original” custom edition collectibles of their personal card.
