The premium whisky brand Johnnie Walker partnered with Blockbar, 88rising, and Vayner3 to drop an exclusive Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle and NFT. The collaboration marks a brand-new art experience for whiskey lovers.
This limited edition collection will be exclusively launched on Blockbar including 250 NFTs with artwork by Vandy the Pink, a notable streetwear designer. The NFT collectors will also get access to an immersive whiskey experience on December 1 at Art Basel.
The VANDYTHEPINK x Johnnie Walker Blue Label limited edition collection will be available from November 22 on BlockBar. Early access began on November 21 for Blockbar’s Johnnie Walker token holders, Johnnie Walker POAP holders, and selected Web3 community members.
Note that only legal drinkers can purchase the exclusive $355 bottle and the owner will get an NFT after the purchase. BlockBar will keep the bottle until the owner is ready to burn the NFT to receive the physical product.
NFT owners can also trade their digital assets on the BlockBar marketplace and they can participate in a “token-gated voting experience.” This way, they can vote on artwork that will be featured on the physical bottle the holders will receive.
NFT holders will have five designs created by Vandy the Pink to choose from. This includes designs such as Harmonious Clouds, Royal Fan, Maturing Flowers, Balanced Fish, and Bold Dragon.
Furthermore, after the completion of the voting process on December 1, the NFT will display the most-voted artwork on the bottle and become the official design of Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottles.
Johnnie Walker NFT holders will also get VIP access to V at SCOPE at Art Basel on December 1. They will also get to meet Vandy the Pink and receive signed commemorative artwork by the artist. That’s not all. NFT holders will also experience a Blue Label specialty cocktail taste test.
It’s not the first time this legendary scotch whiskey brand is venturing into the NFT space. Johnnie Walker has also collaborated with Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends NFT collection.
